“Nursing practice is both an art and a science. It is the art of nursing that allows me to listen to each patient’s story, and glean insight into their world. It is this insight that gives meaning to their experience, and allows me as an advanced practice nurse to provide interventions grounded in science that are both appropriate and beneficial. I strive to recognize and encourage the beauty and strength of each patient.”
